Anyone tried WST in 230grn FMJ ? I've had very good results with 185grn JSWC and 200grn LSWC but I can't find and data on 230 FMJ's. Was thinking of trying 4.6 to 4.8grns to start. They will have to be awfully good to beat the old 5.4grns of W231 but you never know till you try.

WST is my go to accuracy powder in 45 ACP. As above, go to Hodgdon's web site for data.

WST, N310, Clays, and TiteGroup have been almost complete failures in my 1911s for accuracy.
AA2 has been the most consistent sub-1.5" at 25 yds. All guns are different, but that is my finding on WST and .45ACP. |
