Default full belly

Not tring to rub it in but,
I just cooked 16 lbs of boneless ribeye on the grill, rotisseried,
Over a pan of seasonings and good rum.
Au Juice to die for.
Had some friends over, about 5 lbs left for roast beef Sandwiches on french bread tomorrrow.

I love good food.

I would if I could, but I don't think it'll travel well.

That got me thinking, what about a TFF trip? I think there have been some get togethers before, but localized.

Anyone know?

I'm half way there and it's still too far for me. BBQed HBs well doctored, hotdogs, sausage, spuds and corn from the garden last PM. It was great and leftovers for next 2 days I'm sure. Love that pit. I'm not big on steaks but did some great NY strip steaks when the kids came up last month. Putting your steaks on a rotisserie sounds like a good idea.

Not the steaks, the whole thing!! That rotis is failproof, 2 hrs guarantees perfect pink throughout. That pan of spices and rum simmering under catching the drippings is unreal.

One of the other forums I'm on did a thing a couple of years ago which was pretty successful. Pick a day. Everybody takes the laptop outside or the desktop in a window and set up webcams and sign on to an instant messenger service. Cook, eat, drink and exchange thoughts (and insults ) all day.

Was at a pig roast today, I can relate to what you are talking about. Low and slow is the best eating one can partake in. Sounds like you had a great time and great food. Enjoy those sandwiches today. Hope you sliced the meat thin and let it soak in that Au Jus overnight. Get a good crusty roll, Dang now I'm hungry.

My son came down from college on the train this am.
The station is a couple blocks from Uwajimayas (asian specialty store).
Got a couple duck plates to go for dinner.
Half a roast duck, two cups of rice, and a cup of veggies. EACH!
9 dollars .75 apiece.

I love duck.

A1 on the duck, and that roast pork is good, that's probably my #2.
That fire box pig is the best, with the heat over the top, 6 hours later.

When i was 19 i worked in a steakhouse that had the regular restaurant upstairs and in the basement it had a 500 seat convention room, a 250, a 100, and "2" 75 seat small rooms. To keep up with all that they had 4 large steak grills that each one was slightly larger than a pool table. When they loaded up all 4 grills with steaks it produced a heavely smell you cannot imagine....

They say that the human sense of smell dies off after 10 minutes...bullroar.... when the smell is that strong you smell it for hours!!!

Dang that sounds great. Guess I will just have to eat this dang old Elk Steak and have some smoked Salmon for desert later. I just hate living way out here in the woods. Course the Salmon was gave to me by a buddy that goes over to the coast about twice a month. Will go check my crawdad traps tomorrow and maybe have a mud bug boil tomorrow as the kids are in from Arizona and Washington. have to love it when you get the chance to spoil the grand kids. Course their mother will probably want to shoot me later , but its worth it. catfish
