I asked Warpig in the .22 forum about these. This is the proper forum for value questions though. I'll take some Pic's of the pup tommorow, but for now...It's an original 39 lever action, with 24 inch barrel. Bore is shiny with extremely sharp rifleing. The serial number has the "S" pre-fix.
The other one I picked up was a Remington Model 12 pump...Ya gotta luv .22's... ![]()

I do believe these beasts are going for $250+ used in good condition. New they are around $400.
I just looked at an old Remington Model 12 c in the gunshop two days ago. It was well used and had a tag of $175 on it. |

Smokey.....if this is truly an "original" Model 39, it should have a 24" octagon barrel, open sights, takedown, case hardened receiver and lever, and an "S-shaped" pistol grip stock with a hard rubber buttplate. Earlier guns without a (serial number) prefix or with an "S" prefix are noted for their superior workmanship and fine finish.
If this is what you've got, it's worth a few bucks........ 95% - $2,500 90% - $1,575 80% - $1,325 70% - $1,050 |
