I was just wondering what kind yall own and what kind you think is the best.
The reason I ask is because a little birdie told me LIKTOSHOOT has 3 in the shop at once right now. Man he must beat 'em against the tree like an axe!! hehehe!!! ![]() I own and use Husqvarna myself. I also have Poulan and Homelite. I believe Husqvarna and Stihl run a close race as best.

Well, right now I have a 14" Mac....a nice little saw, which is fine for trimming limbs and such.
However, at one time I heated with wood (used 3 to 4 cords a year) and needed a really tough and dependable chainsaw, so I had a 16" Stihl (I think it was called a Farmboss)......and it sure did the job for me. |

Husky-Stihl-Poulan. Only saw not in the shop---Poulan and that`s what i bought yesterday. For the money, hate to say it....will never buy a Husky again. Can get three new Poulan`s for the price of my Husky and yes----we work them and are very hard on them. 16-18-22" models.....also have a Homelite 16", and it is in the shop too......has maybe 10hrs on it----a freakin nightmare to start TOO!!!. We are clearing brush and dropping large pines, and since they have no way to fall over, they are dropped vertically, very hard on the saw and bar.

A&S, that's an interesting brand. First I heard of it. Thought I might see some brands I don't know.
LTS, hung trees can be tough! I have Husq 18", Husq 22", Homelite 14" and a Poulan 18"?? bow. That bow will go thru wood on the ground in a hurry without the backache. |

All Stihl, All the Time.....
Farm Boss is a great saw FS85T is a great trimmer and brushcutter - plus small cultivator BG85 is a great blower All run on 50:1 mix, same as the boat. If they made a lawnmower, I'd buy it!!! This is after coming off of a mix of Poulan Saw, Weedeater Trimmer, Weedeater Blower, and four different gas cans for the different mixes...... |

It would probably help if I spelled it right: Jonsered.
It's Svedish, doncha know.Jonsered line card I was very happy with it. We used it part of one season and dropped, limbed and cut two 40' pines with it. Plus a little bit of ribbon wood and manzanita. Have used it only a couple of times since we moved away from the wood stove. Pops |

its been so long since i last needed it ,i forgot who makes it ,i know its green
i once took a broken one ,took the chain and bar off .drained it ,drilled and tapped it and put a bolt where the chain was ,then instaled a 14" adult toy ,to it and give it to one of my horny old barmaids as a gag/birthday gift , funniest damn thing i ever saw she opened it in front of about 60 people ,she and everyone luaghed their butts off |

Have a Stihl believe it's an 18" out in the shed, just finished off a tree in the yard with it the other day that some bad windstorms this year had basically already taken down about half of it.

Neat, Ys. We can attach that to one of those cannons and drag it back to battery after firing.

2 Pooolands (Green boogers) and one orange & White Stihl! I have had them for 300 years and I think one even helped carve out the Pinta, Tinta & the Santa maria, when George threw his wooden teeth across the Trinity river, here in Texas! Trustme, this is a ture story! I was there!

Got a McCullough back before I knew better.
Have not started it in 10-12 years, and don't want to. Got some little electric thing now, not sure who makes it, does all the cutting I need to do. Have 6-7 different brand name saws over in the shop to be worked on. Can not find the ambition to do it.

there is a new engine coming out that has the advantages of 2 and 4 stroke engines, for use in yard equipment. Check out Popular Mechanics

Haaaa...good'un GP
I got an old poulan thats probably 12 years old. Had to replace the fuel line once cause they rotted off. Last year was the first time it wouldnt start so gave it a 10 buck tune up and its back to running. I seldom use it so theres no need in having anything better. |

I've got a 031Av Stihl that is about 1/2 as old as me. It has been as trouble free as can be. My dad had a 5 horse gear drive 26" bar David Bradley. There wasn't to much to big for that beast.

LTS, my #3 son saw my post and had some very harsh things to say to me. ME, his dear ol' daddy, who....oh well.
![]() I'm going to talk to him and see if he really needs it or was just wanting it around and handy. He dropped 3 trees in his back yard this summer without asking for it, soooooo. I have no idea what they are worth, so would have to do some research or have you make an offer. Shall we pick this up on PM or email? Pops |
