With all this BS going down with health care among other things that our worthless turd of a leader and his cronies have set before us, do the people that voted for Bozo even realize what he's about to do? Did they even realize there mistake by appointing him this job? As bad as things are panning out, It sure seems like those that voted him in are hiding in the sand now. I would love nothing better than to see a revolt of the people now to stop everything that they (congress) is doing, now, but I honestly don't see it happening. People are way to passe these days.

I suspect your fears are correct. Folks clearly appear apathetic beyond belief.
These politicians are now talking in the terms of Trillions and people just don't grasp the magnitude. 1 million seconds is 12 days 1 billion seconds is 31 years 1 trillion seconds is 31,688 years Why do we accept this ? I guess I'm just stunned. |

Here's the deal.
If you support my bill, I'll support yours. The locals think it's great! They get money for jobs, etc. What none of them understands is, their taxes are increased to help support everyone else. They bloat the budget year after year, but claim to bring home the bacon. They pull money out of thin air (that we all pay for), and 'we the sheeple' are too stoopid to figgur it out. And they're right. ![]()

Sigh. . . .
I feel very tired. This is not about why do we accept this. Except for a few stubborn, addle brained libs, many people are now getting the a glimpse of the full import of what is transpiring before our very eyes. The economy is recovering, nope. Unemployment is dropping. Nope. Healthcare will be free. Bwa-hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. The housing market is picking up and prices are stabilizing. Nope. Just do the research yourself. It is easy and not hard to understand. Click on The Right Site, below. Plenty of links to follow. Not fringe or extremists but just people who aren't buying the propaganda and outright lies spinning out of Washington. You can't be this many trillions in debt and not face consequences. You can't have unemployment (real Unemployment figures) figures above 20% and not have severe consequences. You can't have an eminent housing market collapse on top of the current slump and the foreboding of a Commercial properties collapse and not suffer consequences. I have yet to mention, the coming dollar dilemma with China bailing out on Treasuries and others following suit. Much more. This will not end well for you or I. I'm not even sure Al ( I invented the internet that screwed me) Gore will be OK. Maybe we can make a difference in 2010. Maybe new blood will salvage what is left of our futures. Maybe not. My votes are ready to be cast. How bad will it get before we finally decide to wrest control from those who do not have our best interest at heart and take it back. Your guess is as good as mine. The problem; as I see it, is that most folks can not believe; in their wildest dreams, that their lives will be impacted so severely, so very negatively by all this. It will be a sad day for them when the choice must be made between Cable TV or dinner. A conservative acquaintance of mine; A Vietnam Vet (Air Cav), when faced with the horrible, awful truth, tells me that it will all work out and that we don't have to worry. I don't know, maybe he's right but I expected this guy, a very active member of the VFW, a former State Commander in fact, would have more of an urgency about this. His calm defies my reason. Apathy abounds. People with no money, upside down on their homes and cars, are refinancing or buying new and going deeper in debt. Acting as if all is well. Not necessarily believing the government's lies but rather, wanting to believe the lies. This is not hope but a gamble, a roll of the dice. Anybody with a calculator and a pencil can darn well figure out where this tea party is going to end up. Not in a good place. I just reread this and realized I am not in a very happy mood here, sorry. Last edited by Hardballer; 12-22-2009 at 06:34 PM.. |

A local talk radio host was discussing revolt and public disobedience today. The topic was essentially, when congress has shown that they cannot obey law habitually, when will The People decide that they will no longer obey laws. It was an interesting conversation. Anyway, a black guy who calls the show just about every dang day, called in to pull the race card. I just simply could not believe that anyone would pull the race card at this stage in the game.
It's amazingly ignorant to do so given the circumstances. Besides that, if there's anyone that I am most angry with it's Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. Obama is a distant third for disapproval in my mind. Obama is only a signatory of the bill and puppet president. These other SOBs (who are white by the way) are the empowered cheerleaders for dramatic socialist adoption. Pulling the race card at this stage is perhaps detrimental the card-puller's perceived intelligence and race. Now, with that said I hope that we're not yet at a point of 'violent' uprising but public disobedience is just around the corner as people WILL refuse to purchase their 'required' insurance.Last edited by ponycar17; 12-23-2009 at 07:24 AM.. |

If we do everything right between now and election day, I think we will be very fortunate if we don't end up like Britain in the 4-5 years folowing WW II with austerity, severe belt tightening and severe shortages of and rationing of goods and necesities as we try to rescue what's left of the doller. A large portion of my retirement is SS. I look for severe reductions in income as the IOUs will probably not be redeamaple in the coming financial climate.
Thanks U.S. Congress. I hope they reap what they have sown but they have probably provided for this ahead of time. I don't see any reduction in Congressional retirement, health plans and any other perks they have provided for themselves no matter what happens to the rest of the nation. |
