Question 1947 Win Model 70 Super Grade

I have a Win Model 70, Pre 64 (think 1947 according to serial number research) Ser#185222, .270. 24" barrel, V rear sight with 98% bluing, not even any wearing of the bolt handle bluing.

Stock is 90% with a few small case ejection marks. Gun is in beautiful shape.

The gun has been in my family since it was bought with maybe 100 rounds being shot through it.

I am wondering what it may be worth. I am thinking of selling it to a police sniper buddy of mine who would give the gun the care it deserves, need a ballpark value. Photos attached.

Around $800 give-or-take.

The Blue Book just about doubles that value.

"Model 70 Standard Grade (1946-1963 Production)

.270 Win.

98% - $825"

"A general rule for Super Grades is that if you add 100% to the standard grade in similar cals., values should be rather close"

Soooo......the Blue Book value of your gun, in 98% condition is $1,650.

I apologize, I did not see that this was a Super Grade.

This is one area where Fjestad is a touch light. True, minty SG's will bring every last $$ of $1800 in .270. Maybe just a touch less in .30-06.

They drop off pretty quick as condition worsens, but a stone-mint SG in ANY caliber is a showpiece.
