F-in backorders! Im nearly out of .45 ACP rounds and Im STILL waiting on the mould that has been on backorder for more than 3 months! And dont even get me started on primers. I have had them on backorder since may

The ammo situation is easing somewhat but the primer scarcity appears not to be. I ordered two cases of various Winchester primers in January and just got them after a five month wait. I am pretty loaded up now for almost anything I might want to reload and shoot. In fact, I might be in a good position for several years.

Now that brings up a point that should be mentioned. A lot of people are so affected by the shortages that, when they get a chance, they buy more than their immediate needs (also fear of potential gun and ammunition controls by the Obamaites is driving the hoarding). The hammer will fall eventually and all sales will dry up due to market saturation. This is a problem for the gun manufacturers, the ammo and the reloading components industries. Most realize it and are not expanding to handle the explosion of sales across the whole industry. But it will get really bad for them for several years to come. I sure hope they are stashing away their profits to spend in the slow down years to stay alive. I would hate to see this rush on things gun result in a loss of manufacturers in the out years. But some will go, I'm sure. Who, I don't know????

If only all you moderates, who wanted change and voted for the Dems and Obama, would have recognized that the self proclaimed liberal Obama was going to REALLY change this nation into a Socialist state like us conservative told you he would, we would not be in the situation we are today, both politically and in the gun world. And it ain't over yet. The Dems and Obama will push very hard to get Cap and Trade and the Health plan, all of which will bankrupt the nation and cost you and me personally. C&T is forecast to cost each household several thousands of dollars every year forward. And you all know the results of a Governemnt run health care system that will drive all competition out of the market place and give us poor medical care, just like Canada and the UK, when the US budget can no longer fully fund it.

L D I agree with everything you said. However. The one big mistake. I like many conservatives made , was to waste my vote on John McCain. There really was not a Nickels difference between him and what we ended up with. It is too bad More conservatives did not get behind Ron Paul.

It may appear in a casual observation that there is little difference between McCain and Obama but..McCain is a slightly left leaning moderate whereas OBAMA was rated the most liberal Democrat in the Senate (we knew that before he got elected!). That is close to socialism which is in no way McCain's view. In recent history the choice for office holders seems to be limited and we have to concentrate on picking the best of the lot who may not necessarily follow our views but is electable. Ron Paul was not electable...Sorry, but that's the truth. Any third party candidate will just dilute the Republican chances and give the election to the DEMS. Remember Ross Perot?

OBAMA has done exactly as he promised... Socialistic programs, income redistribution, green programs that make little sense and cost tons of our money, and many other socialistic programs. He has also loaded his office with questionable associates including radicals and has moved to gain presidential control over more government agencies and programs (think CIA investigations and FBI interrogations of terrorist that normally the CIA did). We got a man who doesn't pay his taxes as a financial adviser, a medical adviser who wants to meter care to seniors in their last years and young adults who don't provide income to the system, and economic advisers who make 2 trillion dollar forecast mistakes. McCain would have been infinitely better than this!

We have to find a much more conservative candidate for the next election and drive the liberal DEMS out of Congress in 2010 or we may be doomed.

I blame the current situation on the ultra conservatives who voted for Ron Paul, and the moderates who were taken in by Obama's golden mouth promising change and the chance for making history. The change we are getting it appears few want! There are always consequences to our actions. What is frustrating is OBAMA told us exactly what he was going to do and some voted for him anyway. DUH!!!!

the only change i see is the spare in my pocket going down the tubes DAILY... Not only will the shortage eventually lead to market saturation, but most folk wont have a dime to spare on relaoding components...

LD, you left out an important point. Obama is more power hungry than any one else to hold that office probably in any of our lifetimes (and I the ‘old’ part of my name is completely accurate). In area after area he has pushed through the use of czars to take total control of our government (I realize the term ‘our’ govt might be something out of the past). BTW, these czars only serve at Obama’s pleasure, exempt for answering to the congress or anyone but their Emperor.

In another thread I referred to Obama as Emperor Barah, a title I am sure he is aiming for.

I am one of the ammo hoarders. If, and I said if, this country as me know it can be saved things are going to get much worse before they get better.

Like the signature one of the regular posters uses says, I take precautions.

L D where as I may agree with most of what you say. For years I worked for a large labor union. and while most blindly followed the Union recommendation to vote Dem, I remained a republican. how ever this late in life. I find myself stepping back from the Republican party. Yes we have a two party system. How ever I did not betray The Republican beliefs the party did. This may be the time for a change. And stop voting for the less of two evils.

I will offer a slightly different perspective. I watched a live interview with President Obama's former Pastor ( Rev. Wright) shortly after Senator Obama split with him over his infamous "G.D. America" speech and other inflammatory remarks that Obama was alleged to be unaware of until they became very public.

When Rev. Wright was asked if he was upset with Obama for being disowned; he answered that he was not; because Obama was a politician who had to show and tell the voters what they wanted to hear. Rev Wright went on to say that he was not a politician; answered to only to God; and that he (Wright) had said what he believed to be true in that speech.

The most important thing to any politician is: GETTING RE-ELECTED, OR GETTING ELECTED TO A HIGHER OFFICE!

Oh they did. We know Ron was the real deal when the GOP outlawed him, and the state convention only had one name on it. McCains.

65% of the deligates walked out, they were all Ron Paul people.

When you own party is agianst you, its time for a new party.

2012 looks like Sarah and Wayne Paul may both run as 3rd party.

Being that Obama is already won a second term, its a good vote waste to make a statement on the behalf of We the People

WHich has nothing to do with waiting for ammo, we here gave up on waiting long ago, and make our own.

The latest caliber or gear is no substitute for experience and skill. Rifles and cartridges don't make hits -- shooters do. Fact of life: After Monday and Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF! -->
