i have an ansley h fox 20ga what is it worth - The Firearms Forum

i posted in the wrong place, for this i apologize...i have a 20 ga A H Fox shotgun. the serial number is 203822..this is not only on the water table of the receiver but also on a match set of barrels both having vent ribs.
stock and the beavertail forearm have beautiful hand checkering
their is modest engraving on the receiver ..negative for animals or birds.
the stock is of circassian walnut with a flame or burl wood pattern. their is also some modest engraving on the receiver end of both sets of barrels...

the stock and beavertail forearm have beautiful handcheckering....and the stock has pistol type grip...

stamped on the water table is model 20 ga grade SPR..the receiver appears to be case hardened and beautiful...it has automatic ejectors and a kautsky single trigger...ansley h fox is engraved on the receiver side..

i have no provenance except a verbal one that is was made for a savage arms executive..it was never fired nor in the 40 years i have owned it.
both barrels are stamped as 20 ga savage arms utica ny..

the serial number places mfgd 1937-38 and is an SP A-F..anyone know its value....thanks loads...marsh ...msgrillo

hi, i looked it up in one of my books and found this ,it says the same specs as SP Grade except vent rib;ejectors introduced 1936 discontinued 1936,
perf.2300$ vgood 1400$ ,but now my book is a 2010 so i recken that will give you an idea of it anyway ,or i hope so ,and i aint no expert on this or nothing ,i just happened to have one of my blue books out ,so i hope this is close for ya

Marsh,

I'm thinking your 20 gauge Utica Fox with two sets of barrels with vent ribs, auto ejectors, single trigger and beavertail, if all original, would be worth more than what pops42 suggested. Would the gun be for sale?
