I shoot manily bullseye muzzleloading pistols. Been shooting at the Nationals

Here is a example of what accurate black powder pistols can do . Good
shooting can be had. This is 10 shots at 25 yds. ![]() |

Very nice shooting. Very nice pistols. Too bad only one flintlock. My daddy taught me not to play with anything that had only one nipple.

My old friend Ray Morgan fired more than a few rounds down range with a BP pistol. He passed away a few years ago and is still missed at the Friendship matches.

I noticed that this post is a couple of months old but yes I am one of those that shoot BP pistols and revolvers. I have only been at the nationals for two years, but enjoying ever minute of it.

Nice looking pistols. Just curious as to what calibers they are. I have a back order in for a .32 barrel which I would use for my own inline pistol if they become available. I currently have a 12" 1858 Remmy and a .50 Plains pistol.

Interesting guns!
What is the thinking behind the reversed lock on the flintlock? And why is it on the left instead of the right. I would think you would want the pan flash be directed away from your face. (Or is it for a left handed shooter?) |

Just curious if there is a barrel length restriction on this class of competition
at the nationals. Was thinking of building one with a "12 barrel. Stew |

No restriction on barrel length, unless it can touch the target from where you shoot.

Amen, brother! Those darn cap guns are the work of the devil and probably will never catch on.

I have never heard of black powder bullseye. How do you shoot the rapid fire stages?

![]() I read somewhere that a well trained British Company of the Napoleonic Wars could get off 3 or4 volleys a minute, so maybe rapid fire stage could be something like 5 shots in 2 minutes? ![]() |
