S/N 46954. How old is it and how much is it worth?

tocon,
It is definitely a 1st Model - variation (it's either a 4th or 5th, from the serial number) and year of manufacture can be determined by whether: a. cylinder release is located on right side (1" long lever) or left side (small button just forward of cylinder) b. cylinder is stamped with one or two patent numbers. In any case, the piece is of mid 1930's build - in fair to good shape - Sportsman Double Actions from this era will sell for less than $250, depending upon your location, closer to $200 in some areas. If a Single Action - add about $25 -$30. Last edited by Jim Hauff; 09-25-2010 at 11:19 AM.. |
