Default Can someone confirm this

I knew about dhs ordering 450 milliion .40

but this i learned this morning and may be why 223 projectiles in fmj are hard to find.

I heard that dhs ordered 175 million rounds of .223. Any truth to this?

Try asking for Eric. Sometimes using a first name will work.

The 40 and the 223 ammo will be passed out to the Black Panthers. They are the head of Obama's New Civilian Security Force.

DHS didn't "order" squat... ATK got a contract with them, known as an "Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery" contract, which is standard in dealing with the government. I know because I used to use the same type of contract in my dealings with civilian contractors when I worked as a Fed. They could buy as many as the 450 million or absolutely none, ever...within the five years that the contract is for.

If you're short on .223 down there it must be a regional thing as everywhere I went today is stocked full up.
