Hi, I have a Winchester 1890, Serial # 73791, made in 1899 in Very Good to Excellent Condition. (I have done the research)...it has very little scratching on the barrel, the (straight grained walnut) stock is in beautiful condition, almost no scratches, it has REAR leaf site, is the 2nd model ( has identical breech bolt mechanism as the first model, with the addition of a take down screw,) the caliber designation is located on the barrel close to the receiver (says 22 SHORT,)... Seeking approximate value on this gun. It has been in a box in my garage for a few years. Prior to that in the box in a closet indoors. Probably needs cleaned. Thanks for any help on this.

brickhaus: Pictures are the only way any of us can give you a fair estimate of value for your gun. You would be amazed at what some folks opinion of good condition is, not to mention reblued, social security numbers engraved on the stock or metal etc.
I can tell you this, your gun in 22 "short only", is very rare and condition means everything. Ron |
