I see this has made the news in the Irish Times as well as BBC and other news media over here. Google has many entries. I got word in a couple of emails today.
He has done a lot of good, and is a living demonstration of how God can use adversity to temper steel and burn out impurities. He will be missed. http://www.focusonlinecommunities.co...lson-1931-2012

Agreed. Chuck called it as he saw it. I learned a lot from him. He is a great example of how a life can be changed through knowing Jesus Christ.

I don't put much stock in jailhouse conversions, but in this case I do believe that Colson's turn around was the real deal -

I think he walked the walk, and talked the talk form '73 untill his death. His Waterloo was Watergate, and that is what most will remember.

Ampaterry, I normally agree about jailhouse conversions, but this one has lasted long after he got out. I think it rings true. Chuck Colson became a symbol of a Christ powered, renewed life.
On the same day Mr. Colson died, I read an article about a Long Beach California Police Officer. Officer Noe Yanez was arrested on child pornography charges. Mr. Colson had the world by the tail and then destroyed his future by engaging in illegal activities. Mr. Yanez has done the same thing. Mr. Colson started over with God and made something valuable of his life. Mr. Yanez could/might/should/ought to do the same. If anyone out there prays for miracles, I think this fellow could use some intercessory prayer. In twenty years, we could be saying "I prayed for that guy!"

He was a good man, he just got mixed with the wrong crowd. From watergate to inner peace.
