The neighbor bought a new Para Ordinance SS subcompact 45 with the night sites and the rosewood grips. He can't shoot it with out limp wristing it so he had cycle problems. He didn't feel comfortable with it so I traded him my Marlin 1894 Cowboy 44 Mag carbine for the pistol, a holster and 4 Para Mags and 1 Wilson combat mag.
How did I do???

Hey, Pa- I'll trade ya an 1894 in 357,44, or 45 Colt for the pistol and mags, and you can pick the caliber!
Ya did GOOD!!! Yer neighbor's got a gun he can shoot, you got a gun you wanted, and no shots were fired. That sounds like paradise, to me. P-10, or P-12?? Both are good pistols, but the P-10 is a little short in the handle, for me. Both will handle the largest of the Para mags, since the mag catch/slide dimension is a constant. Let us know how it shoots! Terry

Good deal Pa. I got me another Springfield 45/70 trapdoor that looks exactly like my 1873 except different sights and it is dated 1884. Best part is between $200 and $300 for her! If you need any mags for the Para, let me look and see what I have. I just found today 5 full 50 cal ammo cans of reloaded 45s! Next time I head your way I might have o drive the Dodge 3500 diesel dually to haul the ammo! Not joking by the way!!!! Like Charlie stated, only problem is finding diesel fuel in smaller towns or rural areas.

OK Pa, ya done good. (ah, er, ahm how long did you have to kiss him for that deal...lol). CAUTION...CAUTION be warned that 1911 style pistols almost demand to be surrounded by their close relatives.
JJ, 5 cans of 45 huh. Plenty of diesel in this area..lol.

You did real good - I like the Marlin too, but the Para sounds like a winner, esp with all the extra goodies. Only item to check on, I had one Para that kept blowing out the Spring Plug, musta been a bad batch. This one was a std Gov't model. Might want to check that out on yours.
