Default movies

I just watched the movie Gettysburg.
Great movie---really well done, but.........
I could have sworn I saw a muzzle l,oader with a synthetic stock in it. Also I saw a guy shoot his rifle twice (with the flash coming out the muzzle) without reloading.
Still a good movie if you like history.
I'll have to watch it again.

Added recommendations if you enjoy firearms and military history as passionatly as I do.

1.Master and Commander. (Russell Crow), (imagine Gladiator during the Napoleonic Wars on the high seas). Awesome movie.

2. Enemy at the Gates(Jude Law & Ed Harris). 1943 Stalingrad. Vasili Zhaystsev vs.Koening. Sniper action like there is no tommorrow. Awesome movie in every way.

3. Tombstone. (self explanatory).(Val Kilmer as Doc Holiday is incredible).

4. SWAT (with Samuel L Jackson) kick a$$ film.

5. Saving Private Ryan.

etc,etc,etc,

HBJ

The lady was Katherine Hepburn. They don't make movie stars of the same caliber as the Duke and Katherine anymore.

My favorite movie of all time: The Dirty Dozen. Don't ask me why.

see ya

where can you get gettysburg? i have Gods & Generals, i still need to find the time to watch it, but i really want Gettysburg too! i havent been able to find it in the stores!

saving private ryan took courage for me to watch! i cried like a baby during that movie!! my granddad was on that beach that day! let me tell you, he said that movie was very accurate, except for 1 thing! he said other than the gunfire, the beach was very quiet, he said they did NOT cuss & if there were any words spoken at all, they were words of prayer!

Rosie, take the time to watch God and Generals.

My new daughter gave it to me for Christmas and I let it sit for weeks not in the mood for a "war" flick. Finally, one day I watched it and it was superb.

It gave a whole new slant to the early part of the war, an insight into the people and the in-depth feelings involved and had a very tearful and emotional experience. It was a wonderful movie about a terrible subject.

You need to read "The Filthy Thirteen" by Killiblane(?) and Jake "McNasty" McNiece. Tells the true story of the "Dirty Dozen" by the ringleader himself. Fascinating read!

Let's just say that McNiece earned his moniker fair and square!
