If it functions reliably for 500 rds, it's WAY ahead of the previous owners' product!
My Kahr Mk-9 is a flawless performer, not real accurate, in target terms, but more than enough in defensive use. If they have brought their 1911 line up to the original product performance level, it's a winner, at an excellent price!

I have owned the "World War II " model and it functioned flawlessly. Check page 2 of the 1911 Forum for a report. Kahr has greatly inproved the old AO 1911.
