Default Para 9mm??

Any one got any first hand knowledge about the Para Hawg 9mm's?

Here's the deal, I carry a Ti Smith 38 SPL just about all the time. Lightweight, low, but decent firepower - low and not so decent round count. I back it up with a couple of speed strips, but we're still not talking Rob Leatham reloads or anything.

I've been looking at pictures and such and it appears to me that this stumpy 1911 9mm might be a better ticket. Similar ballistics, higher roudn count on board. And the same "operating system" as the rest of my 45ACP 1911's. And it APPEARS that the overall size is not much bigger than my J Frame.

What's the crowd think?

The only criticism I have of the small 1911s--in .45 ACP at least--is the rather stiff recoil. They jump pretty hard, or at least they seem to in my hand. In 9mm caliber though, I suspect this would not be so much of a problem. An alternative to consider, assuming you like them, are the Mini Glocks. A Mod 26 gives you 10 + 1 even without the mag extension you can add. I often carry a G33 and find it light, easy to conceal, and accurate.

Sorry Bubba, can't go Glock. That would be like driving a MG.....just isn't done.

No seriously, Glock makes good stuff, I just can't shoot that grip angle. My hands have been wrapped around a 1911 for too many years.

I can well understand that, Smash. Although I'm a great Glock fan myself, one that I've noticed about them is they they don't work for everyone. If it doesn't feel right in your hand, it isn't right.
