Default GLOCKARAMA!

Our little town has finally made some progress (?) in local law enforcement. They've come up with the dollars to provide--ta daaa---sidearms for the officers. Up until now, they've had to provide their own guns and ammo.

Said sidearms consist of 40 Glock .40cal pistols. Comments?

Redneck2000

Pay no attention to Gpostal........He's full of $hit.....

Personally, I'm glad Glock Inc is getting more business.....

I'd like to see a Glock in every home in America.....

If more people would give Glock an "honest try", I think that old 1911 would go the way of the Dinosaur........

I have shot glocks several ,they do shoot great and have a good point of aim ,and I guess if you had the proper plastic holster to keep it from going off ,it would be ok ,but I would much rather be carrying my Wilson combat 1911 in .45 any day of the week ,our sheriffs department carries S&W sigma ,now that’s sick

I don’t like polymer in anyway shape or form of a firearm not even a 1911 ,at most a polymer rifle stock would be as far as I could go , Wilson and kimber are making poly 1911’s and I wouldn’t have one

"I'd like to see Glocks in every home in America".

Aaah, we can only dream. , but it is a good dream.
I share it. Every home should have a pistol & a rifle. Every civilized home that is.

Glocks are great pistols but like anything else, they can be improved. One easy procedure that even the "kitchen table gunsmith" can perform is:

1.) Remove sights

2.) Exchange factory Glock sights for quality aftermarket sights.

3.) Exchange Glock for quality pistol such as Kimber 1911A1.

4.) Reinstall new sights onto new pistol.

Now ya got something! Wasn't that easy?

Now you see......thats more like it !!!

The only problem with changing out the GLock for a Kimber is that the Kimber would make such a great boat anchor.....I'd probably wind up using it for one......

only because a glock couldn't even hold down a boat ,it might go off and shoot a hole through one ,with that trigger thing they try to pass off as a safety

Sorry,
I can't put down the Glock. I bought mine upon law enforcement recommendations for their abilities. I figure if its used by, and recommended by, the folks on the line, and not dept. heads, it must be a good gun. I got no complaints, and I've got nothing against the 1911 either. Maybe one day I'll get one of them too.

"...the proper plastic holster to keep it from going off..."

Which holster would that be? Evidently one that can keep morons from drawing their weapon with their nasty little finger on the trigger.

I own and carry several Glocks and won't own anything but good-quality leather holsters. Haven't shot myself or had an accidental discharge yet. Maybe I'm just a real lucky dude, huh? (please note extreme sarcasm in last sentence)

I just love hearing all these police stories about the Glocks and their accidental discharges. "I just dropped it on the floor and it went off 7 times." Yeah, right! Coincidentally, it's usually rookie cops who have the amazing Glock malfunctions and 90% of the rookies are Affirmative Action females. Strange, huh?

If I knew I was going to be someplace where the $hit might hit the fan I wouldn't bet my life on anything but a Glock.

Now maybe, if we could convince some of those fans to flush their Glocks, we could move on to a discussion of proper firearms.

But seriously folks, we love Glocks! The best part about the Glock pistol is that replacement parts are inexpensive and widely available.
