Iwould like to play some online chess.. I'm not a pro but consider myself a fair player.. Is this site setup to play real time chess?

I do too -
But I am not much for on-line gaming.

I taught my wife -
She taught our kids -
When my daughter beat me, I figure I did a GREAT job of teaching -

LOL!!!

Can't get my son to play. He is probably way better than me, but thinks I'll beat him again. I wouldn't mind losing to him, I know I can get him back. A little competition is good for the old noggin.

Ill play you bizy. We can do it through PMs kinda like people used to do through the mail only faster. Maybe itll take a few days rather than a few months I have my pewter chess set at the ready...

1969. Nixon had just moved into the White House.

I gave up chess and I took up shooting.

Never looked back.

I figured we could all just set our own chessboards and choose an opponent, if your chessboard isnt already labeled for numerical and alphabetical co-ordinates heres a link to print one out (white towards you)http://chess.about.com/od/rulesofche...ardsetup_7.htm

Just set your board and PM or post your move to your opponent and keep track of the game on your own board. it really sounds fun. Im really looking forward to playing some good chess games with you guys

How does this look? We can also use a chessboard at home like someone already mentioned. This is the best I could do on the colors. We can use email or post it here. BUT, this place will have so many moves, what can we do about that? This thread could run in the hundreds per day, depending on how many games are being played.

If it ever gets set up right, we can play each other in tourneys. Round robin, of course. I think it would be cool to be able to watch, too! What do ya'll think?

Ya, watching would be nice.. We can play in the chat room or in a private chat. I am really looking forward to it. We will have to set a time to meet because some people still work. I'm retired so I am open to suggestions. I am ready to play 5am to 5pm. I am going to try to pick up some cheap chess games today to use with this chat room chess..
