From what I understand one has to purchase from a Class III dealer and there is some sort of transfer fee, but what is the exact process? Breifly, the proccess involves the following: You first must fill out a form 4 NFA transer, next you must get the local law enforcement chief Law Enforcement Officer "CLEO" to sign off on your NFA form. Next, you must get pictures & finger prints taken at most ant PD willing to accomodate you, then you must pay a one time(for each NFA firearm) $200.00 transfer tax to the Govt. Next, you wait, and you wait, & wait and wait, and wait, at least 6-12 months before your form is approved. Once it is approved you may pick up your long awaited fun gun. If I left anything out or anyone wants to add anything by all means jump in.
