Obviously Rush has been around for decades telling people "wake up" until he's blue in the face... and there's other very prominent voices as well, including FOX shows like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity...
But I would like to start a thread about who else we should be listening too... for instance, former SD mayor Roger Hedgecock took his talk radio show national last year, and I've got mixed feelings! I miss him being centered on CA, trying to save a corpse that's way past dead... but... he's bringing the message to Sparklight NV to get rid of Dingy Harry, he's going around all the states illuminating these races where we'd never hear about the candidates who are opposing the socialist machine. Who is in your state? in your city? on what channel? at what time? Liberals always say talk radio rots your brain because all they get is NPR and it's bankruptcy issues... go figure, nobody is REALLY buying what they are selling... wow, shocking! And then they demand "fairness act" so they can "compete".... uhmmm NO. In SD County CA... KOGO 600 AM has Rush Limbaugh from 9a - 12noon Roger Hedgecock from 3 - 6 PM Who are you listening to?

Its the local station here more weather and farmers stuff than news, 60-70-80's music
good tide and wave info i'll often here the tide and duck down to the lake or the ocean and fish the turn of the tide for a hour or so same with hunting and moon cycles , foxes always seem to be out near the full of the moon and on days of low cloud the deer come down off the escarpment to the valley's so its the weather and music for me if i see stuff online i'll tune into the ABC ( Australian Broadcasting Corporation) either the state or national stations |

when Ozzies talk about "local stations" they are automatically talking about vast area's of land with a network of repeaters that covers more square miles than Texas

actually this one is hard to get about 40 miles out
started as the harbour information radio ( Port Kembla and Shell harbour ) and lifesavers ( beach and boat) but they went to SSB and more content got put in to replace the boat info , but its still the 1938 radio station but with ad's for local business now but yeah most radio here is like that , i guess cause the place is big and folks few and far between in the bush |

My boss puts Bill Press on while driving to the jobsite. Otherwise when I'm driving my own car I put my iPod on.

I've been listening to Rush Limbaugh since 1993. I remember that because the Clinton health care debate was going on at the time. I've spent more hours listening to him than any other human being on earth and I'm better off for it ! I also listen to Glenn Beck but he's been going a little wacky lately. I can't stand Sean Hannity. Love Mark Levin.

I'm a shortwave listener along with my Ham radio addiction.
Right now I'm listening to Jack's 98.1 station down under:http://www.i98fm.com.au/i98fm/index...._us/contactus/ Click on "listen live" It's a small world. Right now "git'm girls"is playing with Snoop Dog & the lyrics are saying something about Crocodile Dundee. |

I listen almost exclusively to Sirius XM Classical and POP, channels 79 and 80. Occasionally and when we travel, we listen to channel 76. Our radio in the Van has Sirius built in.

Mark Levin, Rush, Boortz, Wilkow, Mike Church, and occasionally Savage. I used to listen to Savage all the time but he gets off into some weird rants sometimes.
I try not to listen to Glen Beck...he scares the living daylights out of me with some of his predictions. mike gn

Here's my chance to put in a "plug" for WDVR 9.7 FM or WDVR.org !! Its a local listener-supported station using all volunteer DJs doing their own programming ! Kinda like small town living via the airwaves/net. >MW

On the flip side of this I was listening to Q104.3 in NYC today as Hannity was on commercial. All the DJ (it is a classic rock station) could say was he could not wait until the election was over with because he couldnt concentrate on the world series and some crap like that.
Look I dont really have anything against Baseball and other sports and I am pretty happy for the Giants making it there, as it was my dads favorite team, but how about a little perspective. Which one will affect you more down the road a week, month year, decade form now? A game? or an Election? It really exemplifies the problem. I bet he would care if banning bad language in songs on the radio or the topics of songs. People have really just gotten stupid. He also complained about the negative ads. Ok fine, kinda agree there, but heres an idea: do a little research, look up voting records, look up who showed up for what vote etc. its all out there, and with this internet thing, its really not that hard.
