Default Stupid Dog!

4 years ago at like 10pm I heard a bunch of wierd sounds outside, mind you we lived about 100 feet from a stream, and it was about 10 degrees outside and the stream was frozen over.I ignored the sounds for like a half hour until finally I went outside to investigate,I heard splashing so I grabbed a flashlight to shine down on the stream(about a 50ft 45 degree drop from the yard to the river),and guess what-a 100 lb dog splashing around dead center of the river in a 10ftX10ft hole in the ice.I immediatly dashed down the hill with my new coat on and began reaching for the dog from the edge of the hole, still being on frozen river. The dog that I didn't know, and it didn't know me began swimming twords me,but once at the edge of the ice,it just couldn't pull itself out,so I grabbed it's collar and yanked will all my might and he came right out.He layed on my lap as to say thank you,but he couldn't even stand up-so now I have to carry this huge dog up the 50 ft 45 degree hill to the house-I barely made it,brought the dog inside and we reilized it was our neighbor's dog,so we let it warm up overnight and he began to walk again, then we called the neighbor's in the morning.Funny thing is that i'm not an animal lover,or even liker,I just rescued him out of instinct.I did see him on our land causing trouble a few months later,so I grabbed the bb gun and popped a few shots at him until he left,I don't like him!Why I rescued him is a mystery to me.

Because if the shoe was on the other foot Lassie would have gone to town and picked up the phone and called 911 for ya.

Seriously there are many souls that owe their life to a dog.

You may be OCD but that doesn't mean you don't have a VBH (Very Big Heart).

I think that I read years ago, that sociopaths were the types that hurt animals; ie. lighting cats on fire, drowning dogs, etc ad nauseaum.

Fell good about yourself.
