I am contemplating purchasing the para SX1640 and want to know if anyone has any experience with this firearm. How are they for accuracy, reliability, durability, fit, finish, overall quality etc? I live in California and 1911 style pistols in a caliber other than 45 are hard to come by here.

I have had a P1640 for 7 years & shoot it in Action Pistol. Love it. Out of the box, it was not as accurate as some of the higher end pistols. but always functions flawlessly. After 20,000 rounds I had a new barrel & trigger job installed. Like being on a Honeymoon again!

Thanks for the feedback Bruce. I'm always a little concerned by products that are advertised so heavily that get great reviews, yet I don't know anyone that owns them and I never seem them at the range.
