Disney Road?
Has anyone traveled on Disney road in Afghanistan?
It was named after my best friend that was killed while serving in the Army. He went there and I was deployed to Kuwait before OIF started. I have never been on it but I would love to go and see the memorial one day. |

not when it was renamed but if you chase down a fella called Michael Yon ( a ex servicemans now reporter) he did a documentary on it a year or two ago for his 4th book

a little research here has brought this up i'm with a couple specialist demining / IED groups this is from the team who went across to organise demining ops for civil area's ( same team started by Lady Diana of the UK royals) a news letter put out a couple years ago of the early days of the demining op's rest easy mate , it get's better.. always remember your mates , its bloody tough , but we owe it to them eh , to make sure they are never forgotten .. cheers |
