Better for what. $271.00 per 1,000 Wolf Military. 123grain fmj.
J&G has a $230.00 per 1,000 124grain fmj
Big difference.

Some is corrosive, know what you are buying.

curly, welcome to the Forum.

You don't need a C&R to buy 7.62X39 ammo. If you are asking what C&R weapon is good in that caliber, then I would suggest a Yugoslavian SKS rifle

+1 on the SKS, love em. It depends on what your looking for in the ammo your buying, cheap or accurate. Cheap ammo (wolf, gold bear, silver bear) dosen't hurt your pocket book as much but its not as accurate as something made by winchester or hornady which is 4 times as much. For me just general plinking i just shot the cheep stuff. If I wanted any really true accuracy I switched to my reloads. SKS's are good for that, they just about eat anything. Just be careful when purchasing, not all SKS's C&R qualify. Some were made in the 60's like the Yugo.

No you don't. But most online places give you dealer's prices if you have one.
