Default OK - ALL YOU GUN GUYS

CNN has a poll on their board wanting to know if G W B should take a tougher stance on the gun ban due to expire. Don't know how much the poll means, being sponsored by liberal CNN, however, I just hate to see the "Anti's" leading the thing about 65% to the Pro-gun's 35%.

What say we all go over and blow their panties off!!

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, said Tuesday that there are not enough votes to extend the ban, and he predicted it would expire.
We can only hope and pray

60% yes

40% no

that is a screwed up poll
it is just asking if Bush should speak up or not
does not really asking if Bush should support extending the ban or not

Still at 40% with me on.

When they start talking about how legislation will "never make it" is when I start to get really worried. With that kind of talk going about, we need to start pushing extra hard.

Get them cards and letters out there, boys and girls, or they'll take our toys away from us.

Voted inspite of this but personally I think the pole is a pretty crappy one as far as actually trying to gauge public opinion. If CNN wanted real results they wouldn't be asking whether his stance should be public the real question would be whether it is a wise decision for him to support it at all. Guess it's too much to expect something that would show true public opinion on the matter to come from the folks at CNN.

I just voted, and it currently stands at 59% to 41%.

I'm going to pass this around; maybe we can turn the tide.

Should President Bush take a higher profile on his support for the ban on semiautomatic weapons?
Yes 58% 41154 votes
No 42% 29213 votes
Total: 70367 votes

In case no one has noticed, we have picked up 7 percentage points on the pro side of this poll since this thread was posted yesterday. I would like to think it is because of the participation of the members of this Forum.

We must seize every opportunity and respond to every poll, question, query, negative statement and anti gun agenda put before us, we must do it affirmatively, undivided, and "en masse" if we ever expect to retain the rights we currently have.

To do nothing less simply abrogates our rights to those who seek to disarm us. Not agreeing with a certain portion of their agenda because we do not agree with the specific wording, or the specific subject does nothing but detract from the original intent of the situation presented. We must respond to each occurrence as it is put before us; not how we wish they would have presented it.

We must beat them at their own game, and the only way to do that is to respond immediately and effectively to ANY AND ALL of their agenda items as they are presented.

Granted it is a non-scientific opinion poll. BUT the fact remains that 70367 people have viewed and stated their onion through their vote. How many of these people, both pro and con, are going to tell their friends to come and take the poll. Just as has been done here at TFF?

The "ball is in our court" - LET'S PLAY WITH IT!!!!

It does not make a single bit of sense to me... seriously!

GW take a higher profile,

consequence: more people are aware that he's pro gun-ban.
Way to vote?
.....................................................................................................

GW continues to lay low,

consequence: he's still pro gun-ban.
not worthy to vote on?

The Jury is still out on this folks...

I'm receptable to your comments though

Along the same LINE of thought and ACTION, here is another way that we can be 'felt' and try to make the difference.

PatriotPetitions.US has launched a national campaign entreating our President, House of Representatives and Senate to reject legislation renewing the 1994 Clinton-Feinstein-Schumer Gun-Control Act. Please join fellow Patriots on the front lines in defense of our liberty and national sovereignty.

Link to Sign Petition mentioned above

LET'S DO ALL WE CAN TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!
