I have a blue H&R top break 32 cal. 5 shot, 3 in. barrel revolver . the main spring is broken . the top of the barrel saysHarrington & Richardson arms company Worcester mass. USA pat. may14.89 apr.295 apr7.96 Serial # on the bottom 89718 Sorry , No pics
Can anyone tell me the model number and where to find a spring ? Thank you very much . This gun belonged to my uncle and was given to me at least 40 years ago when he died ..... thanks .....illinoisduck

these three patent dates were used together by H&R in 1904 and 1905 on their small frame top break revolvers. if it has a hammer it is the "Premier" model and if it is a hammerless model it is an "H&R Hammerless" small frame.
most of the parts companies like numrich arms should have the single flat leaf hammer spring unsed on this model. those models of these revolvers manufactured in 1904 were manufactured for black powder cartridge pressures and should not be fired with modern smokeless ammo. if this revolver has the caliber markings on the left side of the barrel it will be of 1905 manufacture and if in good shootable condition should be ok with modern factory standard velocity ammo. bill
