Can anyone give me a value on this rifle, or point me in a direction to get an idea? It is in near mint condition and has a Revelation 6x32 scope factory mounted.

how about barrel length?

Should have a 20 or 24 inch barrel.....doesn't make much difference in value though.

According to the Blue Book, a Mossberg 472 in 98% condition is worth $155-165. The Standard Catalog of Firearms puts it a little higher at $200 in excellent condition.

With the Western Auto name, subtract a little.....with the scope, add a little.

As you can see, no collector value here, but should make a nice deer gun for hunting in the woods.

Actually, I'd like to trade it for a pistol, Ruger 10/22 or a SKS

Well, good luck. I doubt if a gunshop will offer much more than 100-125 bucks as a trade in, but maybe you'll get lucky.

Best bet would be to put it up on one of the Gun Auction sites or try for a private sale.

Hope you get what it's worth.
