Default Free cell phone if you are on the system???

When did THIS happen?

https://www.safelinkwireless.com/Enr...blic/home.aspx

We are CONSTANTLY re-evaluating whether or not to keep our Cell phones STRICTLY due to the cost of them.

But anyone on the system can get one FREE???

Yet another tactic the closet-commies will use to make the sheeple more dependent on Uncle Sugar.

The basic concept is good, but their logic is flawed. These phones are touted as a way to keep the "dis-advantaged" able to contact help when in trouble, sick or such.

What they don't tell you is that ANY cell phone with a good battery will dial 911 without a service plan. These people are hoping they will be able to suck in more customers, as the "low-income" use them to talk to their {snip as not nice.}

Programs like these frequently recycle used cell phones as well. Not sure about this particular one but all the ones I have seen do.

Nothing is free...real taxpayers pick up the tab.

Hey, getting used phones and giving them to folks on welfare WITHOUT service plans is fine with me; yes indeed, as Art says, they CAN call 911 that way.

But these are BRAND NEW PHONES, the kind that use pre-paid minutes. Here in TN, they get 68 minutes a month with their new phone, and the minutes roll-over.

That is one heck of a lot of 911 emergency calls, in my book.

The website virtually APOLOGIZES for the fact that you need a real address to sign up. I guess they are sorely distressed that they have no way to deliver these tax-payer purchased phones to the same park benches that so many of the BHO supporters registered to vote from.
