Government support equals government control.

More government support means more government control which leads to social manipulation and more and more intrusive interferance in personal affairs.

Everyone may be missing the true point here. The fed has passed off the cost to the states of a lot of programs in the last 30 years. The 147 mil not paying fed tax are paying a much higher state taxation then ever before. An example would be in Cook County IL you pay a 10% sales tax on most items you buy. These taxes have more than made up for the 147 mil federal income tax.

The real problem is that there are no real jobs in this country any more. If the only job you can find is at Walmart you are qualified for food stamps and other government assistance. A member of my family has a masters degree in accounting and isn't making a lot more than some one working at Walmart. She also has student loans to pay.

The truth is the politicians have sold this country out for the last 30 years. They have outsourced all our real jobs to create a new world economy. What you are really seeing is a lowering of the standard of living for all the workers in the USA.

On the other hand we do have an issue with people living off the government that don't want to work. That has been an issue since LBJ.

The way I understand it, not one thin dime of the income tax goes to our country, it's all interest for the umm... PRIVILEGE of using Federal Reserve Funny Money.
