Default CCW in National Parks

The interior Department will allow concealed carry in national parks and National wildlife refuges, effective in early 2009 with a valid permit and if the host State allows concealed carry on its public lands. "No longer will american citizens be required to leave their right to self- defence at the gates of a national park",says Citizens Committee for the right to keep and bear arms (CCRKBA) chair Alan Gottlieb. CCRKBA and the NRA argued that the ban was inconsistent, as concealed carry was already legal on other federal lands (Notably Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service properties)

This is a win win for gun owners.
