Moderator Posts: 4 (11/28/01 2:44:51 pm) | Del All album contents -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First, everybody, please see "An explanation" on the General Disc. board. It appears that will be the name on my album. not a lot of votes either way, so I will go with this one. below is what I hope for the album cover plus a list on the contents. On the cover, I am going to try to get some good graphics. If any of you are good at designing, I could use the help. My idea for the background: crossed American flags (on staffs) with a helmet superimposed on them, center. across the bottom the RVN service ribbon and campaign ribbon with the POW/MIA flag on each end The lettering of the album title and other info printed over the images. any suggestions? Here is the info: FRONT: Vietnam Memories A Time, A Place, A War Poetry and music of the Vietnam War era Plus additional songs celebrating the American sprit A little country mixed with a little rock & roll Add a few folk songs plus a dash of soul BACK: Disc 1 War Edwin Starr Ragged Old Flag Johnny Cash Wish you were here, buddy Pat Boone Poem Fortunate Son Credence Clearwater Revival Theres a Star spangled Banner Elton Britt Weve got to get out of this place The Animals Poem Harper Valley PTA Bobby Gentry Ballad of The Green Beret Barry Sadler Paint it black Rolling Stones Poem The first time ever I saw your face Roberta Flack Singin Vietnam talkin blues Johnny Cash My girl Temptations Poem Good vibrations Beach Boys These boots are made for walking Nancy Sinatra Mama tried Merle Haggard Poem Good bye, Ruby Tuesday Rolling Stones Galveston Glen Campbell One tin soldier - Coven Poem Drive on Johnny Cash The letter (Ticket for an airplane) The Box Tops Blowing in the wind Peter, Paul, & Mary Poem D.I.V.O.R.C.E. All poems written and read by Stan Hutchison btw, I know I have not included all the great songs of that time, plus I added some others. I wanted to add a bit of patriotic fervor to the album. Of coure this is all tentative, based on getting rights to include the songs. I have a lot of legal wrangling ahead of me,,anyone know a good lawyer?? And who was right? I would add my two cents but it looks like you are getting swamped. - Hope
