Guys,
Found a Marlin 1894P - the little short bugger with the ported BBL - in .44Mag. NIB Stickered at $469. Been looking for one to "match" the Redhawk I have. Also found a used Winchester short BBL .44Mag (Trapper?) in decent shape stickered at $350. What does the crowd think?

My Winchester 94 (30-30) once jammed up on me and I had to take it to a gunsmith to get it functional again - that's never happened with my Marlin 1894 (44 mag).
All other things being equal I'd go with the Marlin but $119 isn't exactly chump change. On my budget, I'd have to give the Winchester a chance, but that's just me.

Of the two, I'd take the Marlin.
