Default STEVENS 12 GAUGE PUMP

HI, EVERYONE, I'M NEW TO THIS SO BEAR WITH ME! I RECENTLY BOUGHT A STEVENS 12 GAUGE PUMP WITH A PROFESSIONALLY SHORTENED BARREL TO 22INCHES AND THREADED WITH REMINGTON CHOKES. MY BASIC QUESTION IS THERES A SERIAL NUMBER OF 0081001 ON THE RECEIVER AND CHAMBERED FOR 3 INCH SERIES B ON THE RECEIVER. NO MODEL NUMBER OR EVEN THE NAME STEVENS ON IT. VERY SOLID GUN BUT WHAT MODEL IS IT AND WHEN WAS IT MADE? ANY IDEAS. THANKS MIKE.

"Series B"

Probably a Model 67. It was one of the most numerous Savage/Stevens/Springfield pump guns. I have one they are very serviceable guns.
