Hi All,

I just wanted to let you know that I have invited all my Vietnam Vet sisters to the board and hope that they can give more insight to the roll that the female Nam Vet played in the military.

Welcome ladies, I am sure if you hang with us and check us out you will find that you will enjoy this site and be able to let our brothers know more about us. We also have some non-vet people on board that are waiting to hear your memories.

Sorry, I will not be able to be with you for a bit, my computer is down and using my daughters when time allows. However, will be back.

Take care of them guys.

Thanks, Hope

Dear Ladies. I'm pleased that Hope has invited you to come visit with us. Sometimes exotic drinks are served up and many time 'humble-pie' is on the menu. Generally everyone behaves themselves, and though I never served with women in my military days, they probably have them in the Navy Seabees and they just might be a better organization now because of it. Welcome aboard. Wilborn.

Hi,
I just signed on as a result of the invitation through the Vietnam Women Veterans e-mail. I spent one tour in Saigon, 1970-71 as an intelligence officer at 12RITS. Thanks for the invitation.

Welcome aboard Gemini! Glad to have you here with us. We're a mix of vets and non vets but all with the same interests and concerns. Hope to have you add some of your own experiences and comment on others as you feel you wish to do.
I was in Vietnam during 67/68 and flew dustoff for the 45th Med Co out of Long Binh.

By the way, I just put a message on the VetCentral website about this site. I had joined that site but never accessed the message board. Some on the board were asking for new veteran websites so I posted this site.
The site is vetcentral.com. I access from my high school alumni site but I think you can get to it direct.

Gemini,

I served in Vietnam in 1970-1971 on the USS MARK (AKL-12), a light cargo ship that delivered ammunition and supplies to Army and Navy bases along the rivers of the Mekong Delta. Our Homeport was Cat LO, RVN.

We frequented such places as Vung Tau and Saigon.

There is a good chance that I may have seen you once or twice when we were in Saigon. Sometimes it took several days to load our ship with precious cargo and we would take in the sights and sounds of the city.

Welcome Aboard!

Yet another Welcome to our Board, Gemini and Tweety...and I hope you stop and visit with us often here. All flavors are available here to suit your taste and seeings how you were in the world of Intelligence you should be able to disquinguish between the low life characters here about and those of us that sit at a higher table in the great hall.

Again...Welcome!

"Now that I got them hooked with my charm, I'll real em in! Shouldn't be very long and they'll be opening up their pocket books to loans and untold numbers of 33's at The Lounge", he snickers...wryly rubbing his hands.
