Default Range Report (lots of videos): S&W M&P-40c and my MAK 90

I didn't really know where to put this and didn't see the reason to make one post in rifle and another in pistol. Hope its ok here.

Just bought a new S&W M&P-40c and a new-to-me MAK 90:

Here my Mak 90 report (all shooting done at 50 yards)

Standing I am ok, but on a rest I drilled out about a 1.5" group with a 30 round mag!! It was a little rough because the front sight is off making it group to the left.

I went through 300 rounds of Wolf Classic, Winchester, some cheap ass surplus ammo, and Hornady Z-max ammo. No problems of any kind and I love the damn thing! My pop never shot an AK and he went with me to try her out. He's the second voice on the videos.

Some videos:

And after 300 rounds:

The yellow circle is the group shot in the rest with the short 5 round mag (the one that grouped left), the red circle is me aiming at the 4 on the shoulder:

Now the M&P-40c range report (all shooting done at 14 yards):

Shot three 50 round boxes 180 grain Magtech, two 50 round boxes of 180 grain cheap Federal from Wally World, one 50 round box of Winchester Ranger 180 grain BCHP, and a 20 round box of Hornady Z-max ammo. Didn't have a single problem!!! Everyone says that a small light .40 is quite snappy but this one wasn't bad at all, but then again I shoot a 3" 44 magnum at least once a month.

165 grain Z-max ammo:

Screen shot of the target:

Ranger BCHP ammo and after all the other rounds (I started shooting at the pastey stickers and the little wheelchair dude, I got trigger happy  ):

I am super happy with both guns!!!

Everyone I sell the M&P to comes back with praise for the gun. Seems s&w has a winner with that one. Good shooting.

Another range report on the M&P compact .40

I hadn't shot my SA 3.8" XDm-9 compact in a while so I brought that along too:

The weird thing is that the XDm 9mm is larger, has a longer barrel, and a smaller caliber. And yet I find the .40S&W M&P-40 compact is easier to shoot and group well with and it seems like it is faster on target and I can shoot it faster. But you be the judge!

The XDm-9c at 14 yards with 124 grain Fiocchi Extrema XTP-JHP:

And here is the M&P-40c also at 14 yards with 165 grain Hornady Z-maxx ammo:

Cool guns and targets!

Good shooting too!
