That don't fly in my house, so I let him have it with both barrels. I knew full well the consequences, but I had to do it. Nobody disses Uncle Don. NOBODY.
I got the infraction, and the other guy got banned. The mod was very understanding, but he had a job to do. I respect that.

I also got slapped for calling Harry Reid an ignorant slut (well he is), but that one was reversed.

The mods here are 2nd to none if ya do yer part.

Keep the cussing to a very low level.
No flaming other members regardless of whether you agree with them or not. I've seen time and time again where the mods give folks enough rope to hang themselves. They usually do.

I've seen many posts removed, and many members banned. All for good reasons.
If ya wanna come here and talk smack about 1911's, yer welcome. If ya wanna try to defend terrorism, not so much.

You'll not find a more eclectic nor knowledgeable group anywhere.

In a nutshell...
We have created a family here. TFF is unlike any other firearm forum you may have been exposed to. It's like getting together for the holidays. We all have differing views, and we quible over them at times. If ya get belligerent, someone Will show you the door.

Have ya ever seen another firearm related forum that has a spiritual/religious sub-forum? Now ya have. It's a testament to the quality of the members we have.
I've yet to see a question go unanswered regardless of the content. Some may take a while, but you will get an answer.

Welcome to The Firearms Forum.

Sorry fer being long winded.
i want to meet your uncle.

welcome aboard grandpa shooter! you're gonna love this place!

I, myself, have had posts deleted. Not unfairly, however - I had said things that could be taken as inflammatory, or insensitive of other peoples' values, and I think they were well within the limits of propriety in removing what I'd said.

Welcome to TFF, GS! The mods here are actually very fond of knowledgeable members. Everyone is a specialist at something, and firearms are not my specialty. They are a hobby-level interest for me, which means there is a ton that I don't know.

So I come on here to share what I do know, share my opinions (which I have a lot more of than knowledge ), ask a lot of questions, and enjoy the company. I don't feel challenged by members who know more than I do; if we didn't have them, this place would be seriously lacking.

Welcome, Grandpa Shooter from NE Pennsylvania. I will just nod to what has already been said here. Most of all, not matter how much people may disagree here EVRYONE is respectful of EVERYONE else. I believe that is what clicks here in addition to the veritable wealth of knowledge the members here have.

Grandpa, welcome to TFF. I hope you will stick around and find out for yourself what type of place this is and what our mods are like. I think you will like it. I can say that my fellow mods are some of the best people you would ever want to meet. Im not sure how I ended up being part of such an elite crew, but they continue to allow it (well so far). So, pull up a chair and stay a while.

Pretty good site. The MODs on F.F. are just fine, some sites the MODs just drive people away; you won't see that here.

From time to time, you'll see a few people talking like immature 13 year olds with their version of comedy, but you see that on other sites too; less on this site. I just avoid those type threads, time is better spent on other threads.

What I really like about F.F. is all the information & help I get from members concerning guns, ammo , and reloading. Real wealth of information from long time shooters. You'll find specific caliber forums that have more info but FF is a great general gun owners forum. Pretty good bunch, enjoy the forum.

Don't give me names of mods you personally have a problem with. I am just asking a general question before I get too deep into this board.
Welcome youngster, if you don't get a talking to once in awhile you aren't trying hard enough. Now how would I know that?
