Found a U.S. revolver company 7 shot pistol at my grandmothers home. Serial number 12567. Can anyone tell me about when it was made and can it still be fired and with what? Thanks.

You didn;t say , so I will ask, is that the serial number from under the left grip? If not, that number and any letter prefix is what is needed. If that is the number from under the left grip, than say so

Also is it a solid or break open frame.
