Front and Rear Sight Bases For Remington 540XR - The Firearms Forum

I have a set of front and rear sight bases for what looks like a Remington 540XR or other Remington Target Rifle. They both have the same hole spacing as the front sight on a Remington 700. The front base is about 1 1/8" long and about 3/8" high. The rear base is about 1 3/4" to 2" long and about 1/4" high. It appears that they mount onto the barrel, but I could be wrong. Anybody have any information about these bases or any idea how much they are worth? Any information is greatly appreciated.
