Default 7 mag 140 TTSX works well

Got this guy last month. I've been wanting to shoot a hog with this bullet in my A-Bolt Hunter in 7mm rem mag. The shot was 193 yards and got complete pass-through right behind the shoulder. He went straight down and kicked a couple of times. He gutted out at 140 lbs.

That's a NICE hog, 410!
And a 7mmMag, Wow! I've never hog hunted but do plan to in the "very" near future.
Nice hog and nice hunt!

Thanks; that's about average for a decent boar. My hunting partner and I are targeted boar hunters--we don't shoot sows. The reason is that the hogs here are under control and there is enough pressure to keep 'em in check. This way the military guys that hunt from out of town can have similar opportunities that us locals enjoy. I couldn't even tell you how many hogs I've shot--75? 100? Most with the rifle, but a bunch with the muzzleloader and several with the bow. The pork is also excellent. In fact; I've got a roast in the crockpot right now to make carnitas with.

I'd love to have the chance to try the meat!
They have the season here in Ohio and they say they are around and growing in numbers.
I just havent seen any around here in my neck of the woods, yet.
They have been seen and some killed around here and I've been looking and watching for
any tell-tell sign of them and I hope soon, I'll have my chance.

Sounds like you've had some good eating today! (making me hungry thinking about it!)
