Default Some interesting (and beautiful) old guns

Stumbled upon a few of these guns and thought y'all might wanna see them.

The first gun is a combination of a pistol and a mace. It is from Northern Europe, from Saxony, from the last quarter of the 16th century (1575-1600).

The next gun is called a Tschinke. And was a light hunting rifle used mainly for shooting birds. It takes its name from Teschen in Poland (where this type of weapon was developed) and was a popular hunting weapon among the north European nobility during the seventeenth century. The nobility were able to afford to have, beautifully, ornately inlaid decoration on their guns, like some of the examples shown below.

I just thought y'all might enjoy these, they are truly fascinating to me.

Outstanding!

I would like to see that mace/pistol also, but I just get a red-X box.

And that inlay that looks like ivory in the 4th picture -
There is mans face in profile there.
I would assume that no craftsman would make the nose BIGGER than it really was, but would go the OTHER way in an attempt to please the customer.
This guy had to have one humongous honker!

Thank you, Trevor!
