Default An older Remington

Found a Remington 513T at Cabelas sitting on the used car rack a few weeks ago. Been thinking about it every day and nite since. Kept dragging my feet making excuses not going back to give it a closer look hoping it would be sold. I finally couldnt stand it and went back. Just my luck, sure enough it was still there and after filling out all of the paperwork, I was escorted out of the store and handed the rifle. Looking it over closely after I got home, it doesnt appear to have hardly been fired. The bluing is just about 100%. No wear visable at all. The bolt has almost no signs of being cycled. The chamber face has no wear from shells and still blued. Not even any signs at muzzle of anything but sitting for years. Under a magnifying glass the bluing showed just a slight presence of rust from sitting for years without being oiled. A very light pass with 0000 steel wool took care of that easily. It has a plate on front for the sling to be adjustable and has never been moved. None of the screws have ever been touched by a screw driver fortunately. Stock is nearly flawless and only minor abrasions in finish. It looks like finish is nothing more than Linseed or Tung oil. Everything is sharp and crisp on edges and all surfaces. It came with the original leather sling and magazine, which neither show any signs of use. The only thing that sucked was the sights had been removed. It would have originally been equipped with Redfield aperture sights. This will be an issue to find replacements at an affordable price. I dont know if I want to go back with these or add a scope. Anyway I let the store very happy and will try to post a pic after I snap a few.

I am only about 18 hours away from your Cabelas. How is the local Cabelas set up for customers looking to buy used guns? Are they locked up behind sales counter or out in the open for anyone to fondle?
