Things like this drive me crazy. They should have some counsel on technical aspects, he can't shoot them out of that crossbow. New crossbows have so much energy, firing a wooden bolt would be like dry firing it. He MIGHT do it once. I guess maybe its just me. But when I see something as simple as that it drives me crazy.

What about all the National Guard Armories all over Georgia? Sporting
goods stores, Walmarts, etc. Plenty of places to get guns, ammo,
arrows and bolts. Rick is probably stone deaf by now firing that
Colt Python without earplugs. That Dale character needs to become
zombie lunch and Lori too. She's a ho. Rick could off her since there
is no law anymore. Can you tell I watch the show?

OK so the zombies eat. Do that poop? If they do poop do they know enough to pull down their pants? Or do that just poop themselves? Just wondering.

The worst part about all this is No TP I would have a taker with fuel, a box for food and supplies, one for ammo and guns, and 3 for TP. My wife calls me weird because I only use cottenell TP that is it. So I would have to stock up and grab any I could find in every store every where.

The thing I hate the most about the show is that they make the one guy that says DON'T GIVE UP THE GUNS out to be a psycho mad raving lunitic that is out to do nothing but kill. That old hippie would have bit the dust when he took the guns and ran off to hide them. I ain't got no room for no stinking HIPPIE Tree Hugger in my Zombie killin convoy.

Why WHY are they rolling in all the old beat up crap? Really every time they stop the RV has a problem. Man dump that thing for a Military 5 ton or duce and a half. A fuel truck 4 HMMWV's and 3 5 tons you would be a whole lot better off. Can't move the cars Drive over them. Can't do that go around all military trucks have 4x4.

Vitamins, and antibiotics along with pain killers, and fresh fruit and veggies are going to be your biggest problem. I would look at getting a truck with a reffer trailer so I can keep fresh food like that in it. and If I seen a cow Some one better be shootin it and butchering it.

I think I would head to a more southern plains area for mild weather and flat ground. Build a big compound and settle in.

I made the assumption that, while fighting/operating the tank, up outta the turret or something, the guy in the tank got bit. The tank WOULD serve to protect you from em, but you couldnt just stay put for eternity, thats for sure.

At least Hershel has come to his senses a little.
Shane just wants to kill anyone who doesn't share his ideals.

"Rick ain't back from town with Herschel yet?"
"Nope, not yet. We're pretty worried."
"Yeah, me too. Anybody else worried?"
"Yes."
"Yeah."
"Uh-huh."
"Y'know, they really shoulda been back by now. Can't be that far, Glen and Maggie went there on horseback and got back in one afternoon. I'm gettin' worried."
"Me too."
"Reckon somebody oughta go look for 'im. Other than Lori, who ain't got the sense not to drive through a forest fulla walkers with more'n a revolver."
"We better all go check on Lori, set a spell, make sure she's alright."
"Yeah, she ain't too bright. Shoulda took more ammo. Prolly the pregnancy got her distracted."
"Lori's pregnant?!? Darn, we oughta set an' talk about that a while."
"Shouldn't we go look for Rick? Could be he's in a spot o'trouble."
"Yeah, we should go look for Rick. It's been half the day since he went lookin' for Herschel. Wonder if he's alright."
"Tell you what, let's get a good night's sleep, make sure we're all rested up in case there's trouble."
"Good idea."
(CUT TO THE NEXT DAY. THERE ARE FEW SHADOWS. THE SUN IS HIGH OVERHEAD. IT IS WELL PAST MORNING.)
"Think we got enough guns?"
"Water, too. An' maybe a snack. Anybody need a shower 'fore we go lookin' for Rick? He might be in trouble."
"Yeah, I'm pretty worried."
"Glory be! Look, there's Rick a'comin' now!!"

I'm sure the writers and producers decided that it was a fine idea to have an episode devoted to the value of human life. Also known to a lot of viewers as, "C'mon, c'mon, hang that dude already and go hunt some walkers."

Now we've Carl turning into Damien, Dale has gone on to the land of lattes and hemp sweaters, and T-Dog has endured yet another episode with no lines. Did he go mute?

Everything that happened last night could have been covered in 6 minutes.

I was getting a bit tired of the humanatarian shpeel.
What's with Carl? He wants to be a little tough guy grown-up so he steals a gun and goes off in the woods and runs into a walker stuck in the mud and then can't do the deal! Dale may still be alive if the brat did what he should've done. Kid needs a butt whoopin.

I haven't watched the show, but I have gotten a general idea of the background and plot by reading your posts. It sounds like one of those shows that would stress me out because of the stupid decisions being made. For example, why would a guy choose to whittle his own crossbow bolts, or even carry a crossbow, when there are plenty of automatic weapons full of ammo laying around for the taking. That would frustrate the heck out of me.

Carl won't need a butt woopin for punishment. He'll torment the hell out of himself out of guilt. Kid's going to be all torn up inside for a long time about that.

I always have watched zombie movies to see what kind of stupid mistakes the 'people' make in a survival situation. the show is well written and well done but they still make some goofy mistakes like taking all the 'civilians' guns.
if I wrote a zombie movie it'd be boring, the survivors would be gathering gear and ordinance like nobodies business. and then they'd head out to a sparsely populated area to hole up.

The crossbow is actually a good choice in a way. Firearms make loud noises. Loud noises attract the walkers.

There are walkers in the woods. Sophia got zombified there. In their search for her, they killed other walkers. Daryl had a close encounter with some. Herschel and Rick (and walker bait Otis) brought some back from the bog.

Yes, there are walkers in them thar woods. So when Carol, and Dale, and Damien (I'm going to start calling Carl that) go wanderin' around in there, sniffin' daisies, it's frustrating. The survivors have one person on top of the POS RV keeping watch, when they should be stringing barbed wire around the perimeter - I don't think zombies could negotiate that.

This group has a horrendous sense of time and material management. "Winter's coming, could be a lean one." Anyone made a plan to take a convoy and find food? Nope. Let's all walk around the farm and talk about it some more.

Except for Dale. One less mouth to feed.

Maybe they should think about slaughtering one of those cows Hershel was worried about getting fenced back in. It'd be a bit late to cut wood now, to green. rick was supposed to talk to Hershel about moving into the house but that didn't happen. Little Glenn got the old mans approval so we know where he'll be keeping warm at night .

Actually they are getting ready to figure out that everyone turns into a zombie when they die....regardless of if they are bitten. That is one of the main points in the comic series.

You'd think they would've figured out by now that everyone who dies turns into a walker. or maybe the virus only recently became airborne. Or maybe it isn't a virus at all, but a curse like in Adrian's Undead Diary. Either way, I'm sorry to see Shane go, he was the sort who was always able to make the tough decisions, though he definitely could've worked on his presentation to make his opinions more palatable.

I think that if he had taken off when he'd wanted to and gathered his own little band of survivors things would've turned out perfectly.

Personally, I dont think I will miss Dale much; he was too "flower child" for my tastes. Of course, I wont miss Shane either; I was hoping that they were gonna leave him in the bus, frankly.

I heard a good one the other day......................"..........two guys walk into a a bar.........."

and

RICK SHOT EM. I thought that was FUNNY.
