Hi, I'm new to the forum. I've recently developed a greater interest in firearms and have been reading the forum for the last few days and it looks like a good place to get some help with a problem. I have an early H&R 922 that belonged to my grandfather that I am trying to get working. I think I have everything right except the lever and spring assy will not stay in place, so the cylinder won't advance. From the schematic I have found it appears that it just rests on a little peg on the side of the lifter but mine will not stay in place. The schematic does not show any other part to hold it in place, but my 922 is one of the earliest ones and the schematic is for a latter model. Anyone know if I'm missing a part or do I just not know what I am doing?
