I plan to put a good edge on it and put it to good use in a couple
of weekends if all goes as planned. Got hooked up with a couple of guy's and got a man that has been having some coyote problems on his place....(more than anxious to help him with his problem(s)!) ![]()

Thanks Jim.
I do like the looks of the handle and the blade shape is just what I've been looking for. And I agree, for the price...cant beat that! The old one I have that I carry in the ATV, I first took and put an edge on it and the "thing" stays sharp for what it is. And too, I'm not sure what sort of metal is in it, but it dont rust...Stainless steel maybe, but I never put any oil on it!!! (in a few years...I have abused it) ![]()

I have been reading on these knives and I have learned that they are one of the fastest growing knife companies in the world. The steel on my knife says SURGICAL STEEL and they ain't a kidding. It's very hard. But I'm guessing that all the steel on their knives is hardened steel which is why yours holds up so great. It will be interesting to compare them to a Buck.

I can only speak for the one I have and it is a pocket knife. but I'm
not exactly sure if it's the "same" company that makes these? (mine's a big'en and that's why I never carried it for a pocket knife.)

I am a huge supporter of Buck knives. I went to a seminar at my church where the President Chuck Buck of Buck Knives spoke. He is such a humble man. What I have always respected about Buck Knives is John 3:16 (I think that is the verse) is printed on the instructions foldout with every knife. He told a story of how a lady bought a Buck Knife to slit her wrists with. So, she goes away in her car with the new knife and parks the car. She opens the box and takes out the knife and the foldout. There she sees this Bible verse and ended up giving her life to Christ. He had tears in his eyes when he told it.
He is such a genuine guy. I respect his business view point and will continue to support them. Also, I ordered 3 Buck knives for X-mas 3 years ago. It was about 10 days before X-mas. I called them and they said they were out of the particular knives that I ordered but they would have them to me by X-mas. 3 days before Christmas I got a BIG box. In it were the knives that I ordered for my sons for x-mas, but they also threw in 2 more knives as an oppology free of charge. They are pictured below. Now dont get me wrong here guy's...I own "several" buck knives.
Ive bought alot of them over the years and have lost several in the field. (had two of them that a feller thought he needed them worse then I did) The ones I do have, have been good to me over the years. But now when you go to buy one, say at w-'mert', if it hasnt got the American Flag on the package they come in, thier made else-where (correct me if I'm wrong) However, after doing several European Skull mounts this past year, the old fashioned way, I've used every knife at my disposal and my buck knive's have "failed" the test over several others. I know, "use them for thier intended purpose", but the "other's" went above and beyond their intended purpose. I like to go with what "works" the best.

That's where, instead of having a "full head mount" on a Buck Deer,
you take and leave the Antlers on the head of the deer and take off everything down to the bone/skull and preserve it that way. You end up with the antlers and the skull preserved. They call it a European Skull mount.
