Keep an eye out at your local pawn shops. You can generally find one for under $100 with a little looking. $85 is a good price. Make sure everything works at the store, take it home, clean it up and go shoot it. A lot! df

Glenfield/Marlin 60

I'm fond of the 1970's/1980's 21" barrel/18-rd mag tube versions w/ squirrel stock...

If you are in NW Florida, there's a place called Interstate Pawn that has a squirrel stock Marlin 60 for $119...
but you could probably haggle 'em down a wee bit...someone stripped the stock & didn't refinish it.
