For $400 you are in the price range for a nice used 39A. I would choose a pre crossbolt safety model

There are two "Henry Rifles" out there. There is the Henry Rifle Company, in New York state. That's who made this gun Beth asked about, and yes, they are all US made. Then there is the Italian copy of the 1860 Henry rifle, made by Uberti.

Maybe that's what's causing your confusion?
