The USMC is close to adopting the 1911, 45 to be the choice for there side arm. I and millions of others love the 1911's and this is reason to celebrate!!

the Marines already carry the M45 they are just ordering more of them look up "M-45" or "MEUSOC pistol"

I'll bet Colt gets the contract.

From what I understand, they're choosing a 1911 for the MEU SOC and the choices are a Springfield MC Operator, Colt Rail Gun and I think there's one other one too.
