Default Rick Santorum

Dr. James Dobson, Founder, Focus on the Family, Gary Bauer, President, American Values, Glenn Beck, Glenn Beck radio show, and Rush Limbaugh all back Rick Santorum.

Rick Santorum is a real conservative and I like his values and so far I have not found any "Rhino" in this guy.

So far, he has my vote.

Jim

I've spoke to several folks who live in Va, and work in DC, over the past few months. They're all ultra conservative, and strong on the 2nd. Santorum is their choice too.

Thanks. Sounds like they got it fixed. Still a fair amount of slime in the results though.

He's shown he does not strongly support the Second Amendment, and while I am a Catholic (Santorum is also a Catholic), I do not think my religious values as a Catholic should be preached upon the rest of America - the same way I don't want Sharia law imposed on the rest of America. Don't let him fool you.

I am about 99.9% sure I am still going to support Ron Paul. I know he isn't very popular here, but I'm a man of principle. I would rather vote for the right candidate than the lesser of two evils, even if he doesn't win.

I don't think I can support him as president.
I have my own religious values, and I don't need Santorum preaching his ways to me. I get the feeling that he thinks his religion is right, everyone else is wrong, and if elected he will do his best to see that we all live by his religion. Religion has no place in politics. If you allow religion into politics, then you are no longer free to worship God in your own way. There is a difference between values and religion, and I think santorum is walking a very fine line.

Don't trust any of the other three. And definitely don't trust BHO.

if you call yourself americans, best study its roots......

---------
Letter to Thomas Jefferson (2 January 1789), The Papers of Thomas Jefferson
I have thought proper to recommend, and I do hereby recommend accordingly, that Thursday, the 25th day of April next, be observed throughout the United States of America as a day of solemn humiliation, fasting, and prayer; that the citizens on that day abstain as far as may be from their secular occupations, devote the time to the sacred duties of religion in public and in private; that they call to mind our numerous offenses against the Most High God, confess them before Him with the sincerest penitence, implore His pardoning mercy, through the Great Mediator and Redeemer, for our past transgressions, and that through the grace of His Holy Spirit we may be disposed and enabled to yield a more suitable obedience to His righteous requisitions in time to come; that He would interpose to arrest the progress of that impiety and licentiousness in principle and practice so offensive to Himself and so ruinous to mankind; that He would make us deeply sensible that "righteousness exalteth a nation, but sin is a reproach' to any people;" that He would turn us from our transgressions and turn His displeasure from us; that He would withhold us from unreasonable discontent, from disunion, faction, sedition, and insurrection; that He would preserve our country from the desolating sword; that He would save our cities and towns from a repetition of those awful pestilential visitations under which they have lately suffered so severely, and that the health of our inhabitants generally may be precious in His sight; that He would favor us with fruitful seasons and so bless the labors of the husbandman as that there may be food in abundance for man and beast; that He would prosper our commerce, manufactures, and fisheries, and give success to the people in all their lawful industry and enterprise; that He would smile on our colleges, academies, schools, and seminaries of learning, and make them nurseries of sound science, morals, and religion; that He would bless all magistrates, from the highest to the lowest, give them the true spirit of their station, make them a terror to evil doers and a praise to them that do well; that He would preside over the councils of the nation at this critical period, enlighten them to a just discernment of the public interest, and save them from mistake, division, and discord; that He would make succeed our preparations for defense and bless our armaments by land and by sea; that He would put an end to the effusion of human blood and the accumulation of human misery among the contending nations of the earth by disposing them to justice, to equity, to benevolence, and to peace; and that he would extend the blessings of knowledge, of true liberty, and of pure and undefiled religion throughout the world.
Presidential proclamation of a national day of fasting and prayer (6 March 1789)

as the old saying goes, "if youre cold, dont blame the fire if youre the log that rolled off the blaze." (non believers)

Before we moved t o Alaska, wife and I grew up in Western Pa. Met and talked to Santorum a few times back then. I got the impression he was a conservative, but just another politician; kinda like Pat Buchanon; who the wife and I also met once. I remember the wifey telling me that Pat was just another political also.

Now the reason why I mention this is not that I wouldn't vote for Santorum, but we got to meet Palin up here in ALaska in early 90's, and she wasn't just another conservative political; so for real conservatives like Reagen, they do exist. I also would much rather vote for another hunter, gun owner, shooter than anybody else.

I might not agree with Paul, but I believe his word is good, just maybe a little off. If paul said he was going to do something, I'd believe he'd get it done. That says something in itself.

Bottomline, don't any of you guys get to thinking Santorum is some super hero when it comes to his ideals; he makes deals also, or has done in the past. I might vote for him but with eyes open. I might have to vote for Romney, I trust him even less. I know Newt can't be trusted, but can sure talk the crap people want to hear. Have to vote for whatever Republican we got, have to get Big"O" outta the picture.

The only Repub political I'd follow even if what they said sounded nuts is Palin. I've seen her do too many good things that benefited all Alaskans over the years; and lock up a bunch of our own crooked Repubs up here; straighten things out to how they should be and not take a pure Repub/anti Dem outlook on everything, a good thing you know.

Zhurh, you and I know palin would shake washington up and spit them out and have them trembling in their boots. She is the ONLY one who would actually do what the PEOPLE want done. But, she probably wont ever get there. People are too worried about how a few questions got answered and they blame her for quitting when actually she was brilliantly turning around and winning a full blown george soros attack against her that was designed to bankrupt her and her state, and now we are stuck with 4 candidates that in my opinion are all useless. I dont trust ANY of them yet everyone that knows me knows I will vote for whoever runs against obozo.

Paul will not help our closest allies and will not fight when we need to, romney is a rino and will sell us out, newt is an insider and is crooked and santorum is a go with the flow yes boy that will do whatever the pressure is on him. BUT, I HAVE SAID IT BEFORE, I WILL VOTE FOR CHARLES MANSON OVER OBAMA.

If Sara Palin was running she would have my vote above all of them. But since she is not, that leaves me voting for Santorum. Not because he is ideal by any means, it's just the best we've got at this point in my opinion. Next would be Ron Paul.

I always thought it would be cool to have a president like Palin that didn't have a problem getting their pic takes in a shooting range holding a weapon and smiling. It just seems so American to me.
