You guys are most likely all ready aware of this story in the Iowa Congress.
Seems the GOP Wants to strengthen the "Castle Doctrine Laws" and were going to debate the issue. The anti-gunners in the DEMS just got up and walked out of the States Congress for about 6 hours before coming back. Interesting.....It might not be in the rules. But, maybe the GOP should have had a vote on the issue since they were in session without the DEMS? For Iowa folks there is no question on who they need to get out of office in the next terms. http://blogs.desmoinesregister.com/d...osed-location/

Hey at least they didn't run away to another state like the Democrats did here when the Republicans passed the Budget Reform Bill (Act 10) here in Wisconsin.

They did the same thing here in Texas in 2003. This is getting to be their SOP. Don't stand and fight, tuck tail and run.

When they start running, we need to keep them running!

It's a pretty lame example of the duty of Government representatives to discuss their differences and listen with an open mind until resolutions can be reached. When ego's get involved they just want to take their ball and go home. We are so screwed!

Just keep in mind that the Republicans are the 'party of no'.

I don't believe that I have ever heard of the Republicans walking out rather than trying to face the issue. When you do not have the facts or the truth on your side, run and hide until the boogieman goes away.

If I walked out on my job I would be fired. Why should politicians be treated any different?

Seems to me that it is building up to a showdown. With half the country dependant on government money to survive, I have to think I'm scared for the future.

everone in office needs to get on the ball. i work for a municipality in a strong republican town. the residents went nuts over a expensive curb side recycle program so they pushed back the vote to get more info. the whole time this is going on the residents continue to faithfully use the drop off sites that cost next to nothing to operate. now the residents are the laughing stock of the management because the council told management they are going to pass it anyway. Just like the federal transportation money that was used on our city hall building. first and foremost i will always support anyone who is pro gun however they are all forcing crazy laws upon the people!
